Another round of summer before fall weather returns – Chris By KSTP Good Friday evening!If you have outdoor plans this weekend, you’re going to get one more big dose of summer before October quickly reminds us what month it is.Saturday looks downright hot for this time of year, with plenty of sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 80s. It will also be windy, so while this is great weather for patios, football, pumpkin patches, apple orchards, or getting outside, expect those gusts to be noticeable throughout the day.Sunday stays unusually warm with highs in the mid-80s. Our normal high is only around 62 degrees, so we’ll be running more than 20 degrees above average for much of the weekend.The warmth and wind could also have an impact on fall colors. If you’re hoping to catch some of the leaves at their best, this may be a good weekend to get out. Strong winds Saturday could start knocking more leaves off trees, especially where colors are already near or past peak.Then the pattern changes quickly.A cold front arrives Monday, bringing a chance of afternoon and evening showers while temperatures begin to tumble. By Tuesday, highs are back in the low 60s, and by Wednesday and Thursday we’re looking at more clouds, additional shower chances, and highs hovering near 60.By the end of next week, the fall chill really settles in, with highs only in the upper 50s.So enjoy the summer-like weekend while it lasts.
